In 2001, American Girl released Lindsey as the first ever Girl of the Year doll. Unlike most Girl of the Year dolls, Lindsey was released in June of 2001 and retired in 2002. Meaning Lindsey was available to purchase from American Girl from June 2001-December of 2002. Lindsey is not available to purchase from American Girl today.
