In the Fall of 2016, Melody came out! Melody was the second doll that American Girl released in the BeForever line. Before American Girl released Melody to the public, American Girl released Melody and some of her collection in a special bundle to AG Rewards. AG Reward Members could get Melody before the public. When Melody did get released publicly, American Girl did celebrate her release by doing special events at their retail stores and giveaway a special t-shirt to every customer who attended Melody's release. American Girl also did an interview with CBS This Morning talking about Melody's story and how BeForever characters are made. Melody is currently available to purchase from American Girl.
