Girl of the Year of 2009

In 2009, American Girl released Chrissa Maxwell as the seventh Girl of the Year. She was only available for one year before she was retired at the end of the year. She was the first Girl of the Year character to have a movie! She was also the first Girl of the Year character to have her best friends made into dolls. American Girl released her friends, Gwen Thompson and Sonali Matthews, for customers to purchase during 2009. Chrissa Maxwell is not available to purchase from American Girl today.
