Elizabeth Cole was the second doll American Girl released in the Best Friend line in 2005. Elizabeth was retired in 2011, making her the second doll to be retired in the Best Friend line. Elizabeth is currently not available for purchase from American Girl today.

"Elizabeth feels out of place when her family moves to Virginia from England. Her family is loyal to England during the war, and many other colonists are not. Even though Elizabeth and Felicity's families have different opinions about the American Revolution, the two girls remain great friends through it all" (American Girl Ultimate Visual Guide 42).
