Emily Bennett was the third doll to be released in the Best Friend line by American Girl in 2006. Emily was retired in 2014, making her the third doll to be retired in the Best Friend line by American Girl. Emily is currently not available to purchase from American Girl today.

"When her home in London, England, is bombed during World War II, Emily's parents send her to America for safety. She stays with Molly McIntire's family. The girls are from different countries, but they have a lot in common. They both love dogs, and they both worry about loved ones during the war" (American Girl Character Encyclopedia 38).
