MOLLY MCINTIRE

Molly McIntire is one of the first dolls to come out by Pleasant Company with Samantha Parkington and Kirsten Larson in 1986. Molly was retired in 2014, making her the fourth doll American Girl has retired in the Historical Character line. Molly was, not formally, re-released in 2018 at Costco stores in America. Molly's Write To Sleep Pajamas that were sold in the Molly Costco Bundle were actually put on the American Girl Website in one of American Girl's AG Rewards sales back in May of 2019. The Molly Bundle went from Costco stores to being sold at the American Girl Benefit Sale in 2019. Then, the Molly Bundle went to American Girl's Website to be sold as one of the 10 Days of Delightful Deals on November 26, 2019. Since then, Molly has not been actually re-released by American Girl. In May of 2020, Molly's Outfit that Molly wore in the bundle was put in the American Girl AG Rewards sale.

Moving on to May of 2021, American Girl rereleased Molly as a part of the 35th-anniversary dolls. Molly was the second to last doll to sell out by selling out in August. Later in the fall of 2021, American Girl partnered with Carly Cushnie and made a modern version of Molly to be auctioned off. 

On June 1st, 2022, American Girl officially brought back Molly as part of the Historical Character with a collection featuring a re-release of iconic Molly accessories and outfits. American Girl also gave her a new abridged book. Molly is currently available to purchase from American Girl today.
