Kirsten Larson was one of the first dolls that Pleasant Company released with Samantha Parkington and Molly McIntire in 1986. Kirsten Larson was the second doll to ever be retired by American Girl in the Historical Character line in 2010.
In May of 2021, American Girl rereleased Kirsten with her original meet outfit, accessories, and book as a part of their 35th-anniversary collection. Kirsten was the fourth doll to sell out by selling out on August 15th, 2021. In the Fall of 2021, American Girl released Kirsten again with the partnership with Carly Cushnie.
In May of 2024, American Girl rereleased Kirsten Larson along with Addy Walker and Josefina Montoya. In this rerelease, American Girl brought Kirsten back in her original meet outfit, accessories, and Pleasant Company book. American Girl also rereleased her birthday outfit with corresponding book.

AMERICAN GIRL X CARLY CUSHINE KIRSTEN
In the Fall of 2021, American Girl partnered with Carly Cushnie. With this partnership, the original six dolls were redesigned into modern dolls. Only one doll was made and auctioned off through eBay.
